Headstamp ID help requested

I have been updating the AFTE Headstamp Gallery lately. I created an album of unknown headstamps, and that album is at the link provided below.
www.afte.org/ExamResources/gallery2/v/Headstamp-Gallery/Unknown/
Assistance in identifying the headstamps in the "Unknowns" album would be greatly appreciated. I had moved some of these headstamps into other albums, but then I came across conflicting information regarding the manufacturers/marketers. I then moved the headstamps back into the "Unknowns" album. Therefore, I ask that you please provide a reference for any identifications you can help with, and ammunition still in the box that it came in would be a great reference.
Thank you in advance for any information that you can provide regarding these headstamps.
Richard

Many thanks to Aaron Fullerton for pointing out that Ed Love had identified all five of the unknown Arabic headstamps in his two articles in the Fall 2008 edition of the AFTE Journal.
Those headstamps have now been updated in the gallery, and I created a new album for headstamps with Arabic characters.
Any and all assistance provided in identifying the remaining headstamps in the "Unknowns" album will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to Chris Kerr (a contract worker with the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Ontario) for providing information on more of the "unknown" headstamps. These headstamps have been updated with the information provided.
Please keep the assistance coming so all of the unknown headstamps can eventually be identified.

I don't know if someone has already weighed in on this, but I feel pretty certain that the "3 89 7" headstamp is Albania. It looks like a 7.62x39. Is that correct?

The unknown headstamps "K 33 VII" & "K 34 VII" are British cartridges by KYNOCH Factories. The year is represented by "33" & "34" and the VII is the mark VII cartridge design.

Susan,
Thanks for the information. One reference that I looked at had them listed was Kynoch, but another reference had them listed differently. That is why I put them in the "unknowns" album. What is the reference that you have for Kynoch?
Ed,
Yes, the "3 89 7" headstamp is 7.62x39mm.

Richard,
The Kynoch reference was cited from Cartridge Headstamp Guide by H.P. White & B. D. Munhall, page 130.
Do you know if the cartridge is 455 caliber?

Susan,
That is an authoritative source. I have several headstamp sources; however, unfortunately I do not have this one. Thank you for the information, and I will update the gallery with the information that you provided.
The headstamps were submitted as 45 caliber, but the specific caliber within the 45 caliber class was not given.
Thanks again,
Richard

In the "Unknown" image gallery there is one marked UMA 9mm P.A.Knall and it is made by Sportwaffen Umarex GmbH., Arnsberg, Germany.
It should have been a "Blank" loaded casing. The image with L.F.P. 9mm P.A.Knall should be the same but I am not familiar with the L.F.P. stamp.
The Knall means "Noise" or "Clap" in german.

Scott,
Thank you for the information. Could you please provide the source of the information or reference regarding Umarex?
Thanks again,
Richard

Scott,
I could not find any information regarding the "UMA" headstamp being Umarex on the Umarex website. Did I miss something?
Did you take a cartridge with this headstamp out of a Umarex box, or did you find this information in a reliable headstamp guide?
I'm simply trying to source the information prior to adding it to our headstamp guide. I have contacted Sportwaffen Umarex GmbH, and I am awaiting their reply.
Thank you,
Richard

Richard,
Here's a link to a pic of a rack of the cartridges. The link is off of the yahoo search engine and has the words umarex in it...give it as much weight as you want, but it does support Scott info.

Identifying information was also located at
www.municion.org/9knall/9knall.htm
. The information was updated in the AFTE Headstamp Guide, and the headstamp was moved to the "U" gallery.
www.afte.org/ExamResources/gallery2/v/Headstamp-Gallery/Letters_001/U/
This information was confirmed with CartWinPro. CartWinPro contains more detailed information regarding this headstamp that is proprietary information; therefore, this information is not being added here. For more information regarding CartWinPro go to
www.cartwinpro.com/index_us.htm
Thanks to all who helped identify and confirm this headstamp information.
