Title: Unknown Headstamps
Post by: drmarkwg on December 15, 2009, 07:50:14 PM
I came across these interesting head stamps sorting some brass. I assume the '53 and '54 are israeli the others I'm stumped on. Any one have any ideas?

The "i" in a circle is Igman, and it is in the AFTE Headstamp Guide at the link below.

I confirmed the two head stamps with Hebrew markings were produced by IMI. I inquired of Lewis Curtis and he was kind enough to direct me to the identification information. Thanks also to Richard for your help with the Igman. The M38 9 HS is Italian. Designated M38 I assume, for the sub machine gun with that name, but I haven't been able to confirm that bit of info yet. The manufacturer is apparently unknown?
