SIG Sauer is now loading ammunition. I believe the ammo hit store shelves mid-March and has already shown up in casework. It looks like they are loading .380 Auto, 9mm Luger, .357 SIG, .40 S&W, and .45 Auto.

I just read that article in Guns& Ammo yesterday and wanted to see if anyone had the scoop on it. I'm emailing Axel now to see if he has information on it.

Sure looks like HST bullets...

They call it their proprietary v-crown bullet, but it does have some HST features such as the knurled cannelure.

We have all five headstamps in the database with pictures (next update).
As for the manufacturing we are working on it.
I got some information from the German side and Allan is working to the US side.
All this needs to be verified.
We will find it out....
Greetings

Just a quick update on SIG ammo, according to Ed Sanow over at Law & Order Magazine (http://www.hendonpub.com/law_and_order/articles/2015/01/sig_sauer_elite_performance_ammo (http://www.hendonpub.com/law_and_order/articles/2015/01/sig_sauer_elite_performance_ammo)), SIG has either purchased or contracted L-Tech Enterprises in Eubank, Kentucky to make their ammo.
It is a good article that explains how they form their hollowpoints - much the same way that PMC Starfire and CCI/Speer Gold Dots are formed. Enjoy!
