Title: NRA-style Armorer's Weights/Trigger pull weights
Post by: AGibson on October 13, 2015, 09:55:41 AM
Hello all!

We are looking to purchase more NRA armorer's weights/trigger pull weights for our section, but can't find a set that includes 5 lb., 3 lb., or 1/4 lb. weights. Brownell's offers weight sets that include everything else but these weights, which we use a lot. Has anyone purchased these weights recently, and if so, where did you find them?

Thanks for the help!

I got my set years ago from Smith & Wesson.   Maybe they still sell them.

The Brownell's "Armorer's Shop" weights are what we have as well.

They have everything we need in 1/4 pound increments from 2 pounds up to 17 3/4 pounds as indicated in the jpg image that Evan posted.

For anyone who has recently purchased the NRA weights...do they come with any kind of official documentation or certification (read:  something that will make ASCLD/LAB happy ;) )?

Jill,
We purchased a set from Brownell's last year.  No certificate offered or received.  And just be aware, the 5 lb. weights in our set were closer to 5 1/4 pounds.

And be careful -
Brownell's sells two sets of trigger weights.  The 'Universal' is NOT the one you want in the good ol' US of A.  It's part metric and part English, and maxes out at about 12 lbs, I think.   Unless you buy add-ons.  That's the 678-650-000WB Universal Trigger Weight System

'Armorer's/Shop' 678-017-000WB is the one American labs would probably prefer.

Guess which one I (accidentally) ordered........... >:(
