Title: Fired Hollow-point Bullets Needed

I am looking for bullets that have been fired in a water tank and have expanded in a manner that is typical for that class and brand of bullet. The reason I want them is because I am building up a database of projectiles that can be identified radiologically, with a cross-reference to a chart that indicates which of these are a ferromagnetic hazard in an MRI scanner. For instance, I have several samples of Speer Gold-Dots here (in .25 and in 9mmP) and so far I have determined that I can radiologically differentiate these from one another and from any other kind of expanding bullet. I have tested them (crawled into the MRI scanner with them in fact) and can vouch that they are not ferromagnetic hazards.

What I would like (and of course I would pay for the whole cartridge even though I only want the bullet), is a nice range of all the different hollow-points as commercially manufactured today, or at least a respectable sample thereof. I can''t buy and fire the ammunition myself because I am in the UK where handguns are banned. I got my limited samples from SA but I am not planning to go back there for quite a while.

Does anybody have the means or access to these bullets, and are you willing to sell them? Payment will be made for the cartridges, as well as any ''labour'' involved in the firing and retrieval of the bullets. Also I will be obliged to credit the individual and/or facility who supplies me these test bullets in any publication to do with the results.

Edit: I must add that if there are different weights within the same brand and calibre of bullet, I would need to test them both, since they may have different radiological appearances even if they have the same ferromagnetic properties. An example of this is the 9mmP Gold Dot which was manufactured in at least two different weights and styles as seen in the attached picture.

Our firearm section can supply you a limited quantity of fired jacketed hollow point bullets in a calibers 22-45.   I'll need an address to send them to, preferably a police laboratory.
