According to information that we have from George Kass 7/29/98, this headstamp was made in the 1996 era in Mexico by Industrios Technos for Polywad and used in a 22 load marketed as "Quik-Shok"; the bullet was designed to break up upon impact; as of 7/29/98, the load was being produced by CCI with a different headstamp for Dkness, Inc.; the bullet was copper coated lead hollow point with one smooth groove, 2 knurled cannelures in 22LR;

After you posted your request, I e-mailed George to inquire if he had any further information on this headstamp, and he said that he is only aware that is was produced in Mexico in the 1990's.  He also advised me that he was available to serve as an expert. Hope that this helps.  We don't have any in our reference collection.

We had someone shot and killed with this ammo and it actaully performed as designed.  It made for a neat X-ray.

Anyway, below is a picture of the Box and ammo.  it is manufactured by Industrias Tecnos, s.a.de c.v.   Hecho en Mexico.
Distributed by Small Game Industries, a division of DKNEES Enterprises, Inc.  Atlanta, GA 30062.

Since you are in Miami, I too am available for expert testimony.  Send me a plane ticket and one week hotel stay on the beach.  :lol:

regards,
chris

Title: Are the headstamps all the same?
Post by: Axel Manthei on August 13, 2005, 11:34:15 AM
It seem that the headstamps in the box have slight variations.
Some seem to have a star consisting of five lines (like Hirtenberger) while others look like they bear a star with five points (like you find the on russian headstamps).
Is this impression correct?

The headstamp on the cartridges in the box that Chris posted is different than the headstamp that we requested information about from George in 1998.  It is the same headstamp that Eric inquired about in the initial posting of this thread.  The information that George gave us is pretty much the same that Chris posted about the information on his box though.  I think that Dkness, Inc. may have been a division of Polywad at that time.

I don't know if Eric's bullet is the same type of bullet though. Eric, are your cartridges loaded with a frangible bullet?
