Topic: S B 17 Headstamp Cartridge

Hello everyone,


I am trying to find the manufacturer, caliber and any other relevant information for this headstamp/cartridge (e.g., the time period/production years, type of weapon that used this type of caliber, etc.). I initially thought this may have been a Sellier & Bellot, but after searching within the AFTE Headstamp Guide, now I'm uncertain

http://cartridgecollectors.org/headstampcodes?page=headstampcodes#S  lists several options for a headstamp containing "S  B". If someone cannot help you further here, you might consider posting this information on the IAA forums as well (if you haven't already).

In addition, thank you for providing several photographs, but any dimensional measurements you could provide, would also be helpful. Thanks again!
