2022 Midwest Firearm Training Seminar
« on: June 30, 2022, 09:45:18 AM »
Hello everybody!

The 2022 Midwest Firearm Training Seminar is being hosted this year by the Indiana State Police at the Fort Wayne Regional Laboratory. This year’s seminar will take place on Wednesday, October 12th and Thursday, October 13th, 2022, from approximately 8am-4pm.

At this time we are calling for all topic/presenter submissions. Examiners/presenters volunteer to present on various topics, including, but not limited to interesting cases, new technology or methodology, changing legislation, research projects/validation studies, etc., presentations can vary from 15-60 minutes.

Please see the attachments for more details. Both have QR codes that can be scanned to take you to the registration site and I have also included the link to the registration page here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4cafab2aabfdc34-midwest.

We are currently waiting on a link from Sig Sauer Academy for registration for the armorer course that is being offered on the second day. The link will be posted when it is received.

The agenda will be established once presentations are submitted.

Topic submissions contact: Melissa Oberg (moberg@isp.in.gov)

Additional information contact: Mark Keisler (mkeisler@isp.in.gov)

If you have any issues with the QR code or the link to the registration page, feel free to contact me at sgesick@isp.in.gov.

Just to confirm, Thursday is only the armorer course correct; no presentations Thursday for those who do not attend the armorer course?

Also, the sign up link is showing only 27 spots available each day.

That is correct; only the armorer course on Thursday.

There are only 27 spots due to limited seating in the room where the seminar is being held.

Signing up for the Sig Sauer armorer course! There are still a couple of spots available.
If interested in the Sig Sauer course please make sure you sign up for the second day of the seminar using the website (listed below) and then call the Sig Sauer Academy at 603-610-3400 to sign up with them and pay them. The course number is AC-320AC-20221013-1F Location Ft Wayne.
For the people who have already signed up for the second day please make sure you reach out to Sig Sauer Academy to register with and pay them.

Also we are still looking for presenters for the first day. Presentations can be done either in person or virtually. If you are interested in presenting a case study, new technology/methodology, research project/validation study or anything else you think would be of interest please contact Melissa Oberg at moberg@isp.in.gov.

Speaking of virtual we have decided to make the first day available virtually! If you are unable to come in person due to distance or we have filled all the spots for in person you can still join in the festivities!
