We have an opening for an examiner in San Antonio, Texas at the Bexar County Criminal Investigation Laboratory.

The position is now live and closes on12/30/23. Start 2024 off with a move to San Antonio!

Salary range is from $4808 to $6731 monthly.

The opening is for a Forensic Scientist II, which requires the following:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological Science, Engineering, or Forensic Science and one (1) year of applicable forensic firearm examination laboratory experience.

Must have three (3) semester credit hours (or equivalent) in college-level statistics course or a program approved by the Texas Forensic Science Commission or be able to obtain the required credit hours within one (1) year of hire. (Note: Sixteen (16) semester credit hours (or equivalent) in college level chemistry coursework above general coursework from an accredited university is NOT required for the Firearms discipline).
