AFTE 2024 West Virginia University Subclass Study
« on: April 22, 2024, 03:47:49 PM »
Keith Morris and Veronica Franklin from West Virginia University are conducting a study on the accuracy and reproducibility of firearm examiners in identifying specific markings on firearm evidence, specifically on fired cartridge cases. This study will use images from the 3D topography of cartridge cases and a graphical user interface in the determination of individual and subclass characteristics within breech face marks.

They are looking for firearms examiners to participate in this study.

There will be a participatory opportunity to experience their work at AFTE in Alaska.

See attached flyer for more information.
