The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has just posted a position for a firearms examiner.  The starting salary is listed at $59,079, but may be negotiable based on experience.  The posting closes on 8/14/24 at 11:59PM EST.
 
 
 Since September of 2022, we have moved into a new state-of-the-art laboratory.  Columbia, SC is located centrally to the state, and is only a couple of hours' drive from the many beaches along the coast and from the Appalachian mountains.  Columbia is also a short drive from Charlotte, NC, Savannah, GA, and Charleston, SC (The Holy City).
 
 
 The area offers many options for outdoor enthusiasts (especially fishing), as well as college and minor league sports teams.
