AZ DPS is advertising for an Experienced Firearm Examiner position at Forensic Scientist levels 3 or 4 (7 and 10 years experience respectively) in the Tucson lab (Southern Regional Crime Laboratory). 


FS3 and FS4 positions pay $93K and $110K respectively, the lab was built in 2009, and serves the region of south eastern Arizona.


Tucson is in the Sonoran Desert which means it's more green and not as hot as places like Phoenix and Las Vegas.  Tucson located at the base of Mt. Lemmon, is home of the University of Arizona, Kitt Peak Observatory, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and Saguaro National Park.
