Hi everybody.
Would anyone have handy a manufacturer and or distributer of NIST traceable rulers?
I need to accurately measure the thickness of my SOP...
No, seriously, I need one...

We've been there, done that!  The SEARCH button is your friend.  O0

We got ours from Fred Fowler.

Be sure to get the NIST certificate with the ruler.  It costs more, but without the certificate you are back to square one.

We bought our NIST traceable rulers from:

GEI International, Inc.
P.O. Box 6849
Syracuse, NY 13217-6849
Phone: 315-463-9261
Fax: 315-463-9034
Website: www.geionline.com

And like BOB said, make sure you tell them you need the certificate of traceability.  On their website, click on the certified rulers tab over towards the right side.

Richard

http://www.mcmaster.com/ search for certified rulers from Starret.  We bought ours from a local vendor.  All shotgun and rifle barrell lengths altered to within an inch of the legal limit must be now measured with a certified ruler.  This is to conform with our new ASCLD International guidelines.  Make shure you get a serial number on the ruler so it can be sent back to be recertified every three years.  0.001 of an inch can become important ::)
