Interest in SF Giants Baseball Game, please reply!

Terence Wong:
From the Friends and Family Committee -

At AFTE 2006 in Springfield, the Boston Redsox game was extremely popular. At AFTE 2007 we would like to offer a San Francisco Giants game. Please reply and let me know if you're interested. If there is enough interest we will setup group tickets. The only difficulty is the scheduling - the only Giants game in The City that week is Sunday, May 27th at 1:05 p.m. Here is the full info:

Sunday, May 27th
San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies
1:05 p.m.
Promotion Day: Free BBQ for the first 20,000 fans (I don't know what this is about).
At AT&T park, the most beautiful park in baseball (according to me, anyway).

The park is a 15 minute walk from the hotel or a 3 minute MUNI light-rail ride ($1.50).
Price: $35-40 (for excellent seats).

Please reply with the number of tickets you'd like. We only need 25 tickets to get the group benefits!

Kevin Streine:
Terence- Thank you and all the host comittee for all the hard work and time involved in putting AFTE 2007 together.
Are the Oakland A's a viable option?  Having never visited San Francisco I have no way of knowing if this is a silly suggestion.

Andy Smith:
Kevin,

That is not a dumb question.  Granted AT&T park is very nice and is really convienent to the hotel which is the main reason the friends and family committee is thinking of this option.  The A's are playing that week as well (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday against Texas).  So, it is an option that I am sure the committee will consider.

Replies to this posting will be vital in the committee making the best choice in attempting to pull this off as a function.

Thanks,

Andy Smith

Justine Kreso:
I'd be interested, however, I do not know what time (or even day) I'll be there.  A 1:05 game on Sunday may or may not be an option.

Terence Wong:
Kevin, like Andy said the A's are an option. BART runs directly from the hotel to the Oakland Coliseum (about 20 minutes). We are trying the Giants game as a first option, however if people would prefer the A's game we can set that up as well. Of course, if we do the Giants game you can still go to the A's game as well or instead. I can help you with tickets and BART if you do.
