Class characteristics of large caliber projectiles
« on: May 20, 2009, 04:54:09 AM »
Shalom everyone,

During my career as a firearms examiner, at the Israeli police  :police:, I had few cases with 20 mm bullets. Some of the problems I encountered, involved shooting the guns, collecting the test bullets and preparing them for examination under the microscope.
Nowdays, I have a case with a 37/40 mm projectile, fired from a grenade launcher. This case awaken my desire to write a paper on the subject.
If any one have more information, I will be glad to cooperate with her/him and publish our results in order to assist fellow examiners who tackels a large caliber bullet for the first time.
Thank you,
Lior
