On Wednesday March 10, and Thursday March 11 2010 our lab will be hosting a one day class called “use of the comparison microscope” . We are giving this class jointly with Leica Microsystems. The class will go from 8am to 4pm.

This class covers use of the comparison microscope with reflected lighting techniques. Those who use transmitted light microscopy will NOT find this class useful. There will be comparison microscopes for hands on work. The instructor is Wayne Buttermore from Leica.  There is no cost to attend. Seating is limited to 10 students per day.

There will be a lunch menu when you arrive at the class. Figure around $10.00 if you want to order lunch from the menu.

For more information call 203-639-6400 or email me at gpetillo@live.com

Our regional association, the NJFFEA, hosted this workshop back on April 28, 2009. It was presented by Wayne Buttermore and Bob Luce from Leica and was outstanding. You don’t want to miss this FREE training it is well worth your time.

Wayne Buttermore and Bob Luce form Leica Microsystems did another outstanding Comparison Microscopy Illumination Workshop. :-00 they gave presentations on age related comparison macroscope resolution, illumination and camera technology. I highly recommend you reach out to Wayne or Bob and make arrangements to host this workshop at your lab.

Many thanks to Jim Stephenson, Jerry Petillo and Doug Fox of the CT DPS Firearm Section for hosting this workshop. :-00
