Upon award, Ideal Innovations, Inc. seeks 2 (two) Material Scientists:

Responsibilities:

   Conducts visual and microscopic inspection of recovered IED material.
   Identifies the material composition of IED components and identifies, records, and compares tool and other markings. 
   Conducts recovery of obscured serial numbers. 
   Works with chemical analysts as necessary for confirmatory materials analysis.
   Maintains records and profiles of exploited materials and markings.

Requirements:

   Minimum Experience:   Minimum three years of experience in analyzing tool marks or conducting material analysis in a law enforcement environment.  Forensic photography experience preferred.
   Preferred Education:  Baccalaureate degree in a related field related to criminal forensics.
   Must be willing to work independently or as part of a team.
   Must currently have or be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
   Must be willing to work overseas on US bases in Afghanistan and possibly Iraq, working 12 hour days, seven days a week for six month tours.
   Housing, meals, and travel expenses included.
