hotel sharing
« on: February 24, 2014, 05:07:54 PM »
Hi Everyone. I am new to the firearms community and just started working for the Milwaukee crime lab. I am currently in the NFEA program and  I am looking to attend AFTE this year but my state has run out of training money.. no surprise there.  I was wondering if anyone else was attending and would like to share the room cost?

Hopefully someone can help Sarah out.  This years NFEA Phase II ends the Wednesday before the AFTE Meeting.  Wanting to attend the AFTE Seminar after 16 weeks of fairly intense training in the DC area definitely shows some initiative!

Sarah,

My agency hasn't approved attendance for our examiners yet...hopefully soon!
If everything goes well, and I can attend, I will be looking to share the cost of a room too!
I'll let you know ASAP!

I wish I could come!

We thought that there was a chance that our agency was going to send at least one of us, but we found out yesterday that our two requests were both denied :(

I put a notice in the Member's Area of the forum that I have an extra bed that another male can use.  It looked like I had a taker but his travel plans fell through.

If another guy is paying his own way and would like to take the extra bed for free it is still available as I type this.  I hate to see the extra bed go to waste, especially considing that government agencies aren't exactly tripping over themselves trying to make us wealthy.

Sarah,
I've been APPROVED!  :-00

If you are still interested, I would love to talk about sharing a room!

I'm at megan.cleek@dfs.virginia.gov, if you want to work out some details.

It looks like my second bed will be occupied by Luke Stapelmann.  Hate to let the extra space go to waste.

I just realized that my reservation includes a sofa bed that I won't be using.  It's spoken for on Friday night, but if somebody needs a place to crash on the other nights, it is available.
