Title: HMC Headstamp
Post by: Tori Kujala on September 04, 2012, 02:44:09 PM
I have two unfired 9mm Luger JHP cartridges with a HMC headstamp.  The cartridge cases are magnetic.  I did a quick search on the internet and have seen Hornady mentioned.  Of course, I trust y'all over the internet information ANY DAY.

Any ideas of the manufacturer/marketer?

Thanks,

Tk

The steel case is made by Barnaul and loaded by Hornady
(info from a factory source)

Thanks Axel,

Michael and I thought it was russian as soon as we saw the cartridge cases.  On the video that Jon provided, the president of Hornady mentioned that they were partnering with another company for the cartridge cases.  Now we even know who is providing them.   :-00

HMC does indicate Hornady Manufacturing Company.  They produce a line of steel cased cartridges that are probably made by the Russian firm Barnaul.  In addition, Barnaul uses Hornady made projectiles in their Centaur cartridge line.
