[/size]The main function of a scientific laboratory technician is to perform the specific scientific procedures that allow scientists to perform the more complex analytical processes of the laboratory. Position provides support for various forensic disciplines such as evidence, explosives, arson, DNA, fingerprint, IBIS and firearms. The work plays an important role in the foundation stages of research and development and in scientific analysis and investigation. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; and the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team.
