The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Crime Lab has a current opening for a Firearm Examiner.  Experience in the field is preferred but not required.  Any inexperienced applicant must be willing to participate in a year-long training program offered by the ATF which requires about 5 months of onsite training in Ammendale, Maryland, if accepted into the program.
