Hello,
Recently I got ammunition cartridge with unknown lettering on the bottom.
Dimensions of shells are:
length 54 mm
neck 8.9 mm
shoulder 11.1 mm
rim 12 mm
Probably 7,5 mm French MAS, I'm not sure.
What is exactly ammunition caliber and meaning of headstamp?
Thank you in advance
Stojan
Best guess: Turkish Mauser. See Interpol Cartridge Identification #1394.
Stojan,
here are the measurements of your 7,5 mm French or 7,5 mm MAS.
Please check these data versus your cartridge case
The headstamp seems to be Syrian due to the two stars.
The Syrians have been using 7,5 mm MAS and they are said to be made by the Defence Industries Syndicate.
I will dig into this matter and get back soon.
Axel

Thank you both for your prompt reply and very useful information. Laura is right, when I compare images 7.65 x 53 mm with pictures of cartridge, I found a complete match, but this is not the case with the 7.5 French MAS.
Turkish 7.65x53.5mm
