Anyone want to take a stab at this one?  This one has thoroughly stumped me.

Jill, I looked at my reference material and couldn't find it either. SO, I emailed George Kass, he would like you to email him about this cartridge case.

George Kass with Forensic Ammunition: forammo@aol.com Send him a pic with email, due to he gets emails all the time.

I have seen that funky font before . . . trying to remember, but it seems like it was on Wolf or Barnaul from a few to quite a few years back . . . maybe some other eastern block country. I'll keep looking. The three dots are new to me though.

The font reminds me of Norma, Lapua, and the like.  Not saying it is one of those, exactly.  Just has that kind of feel to it.

Hi Jill ,

I visited Lake City Army Ammo Plant some years ago . They use those dots to ID the production lot. Between every production-lot the dots were positioned an other way.  See headstamp stamper (bunter post), annexed. Maybe they are used in the same way on your Cart.

Jill,

it took a while but from our research and sources it seems that this headstamp was used by Cape Fear Arsenal in Lumberton, NC.
They did not last long enough to become well known.

Greetings
Axel
