SENIOR FORENSIC SCIENTIST - FIREARMS & TOOLMARKS EXAMINER

Forensic Analytical Sciences Inc. is seeking a Senior Forensic Scientist with specialties in the examination of Firearms and Toolmarks and Crime Scene Reconstruction.

This is a permanent full-time position.  Candidates must have a B.S. Degree or equivalent in Criminalistics, Forensic Science or a closely related science, and a minimum of five years experience in a forensic laboratory.  Candidates must have previously qualified as an expert witness in court.  Additional qualifications in Impression Evidence (shoeprints, tiretracks, and latent prints) is highly desirable.  Demonstrated ability to work effectively with law enforcement, prosecution and defense clients is also desirable.
Forensic Analytical Sciences Inc. is a full-service independent crime laboratory located in Hayward, California.  This position requires some travel.  Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and must be able to pass a background investigation.

Salary commensurate with experience.
