I will be graduating in June 2009 with my B.S. in Chemistry-Criminalistics with a minor in Forensic Investigations from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.  I had an internship last summer at the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in the Arson Laboratory.  I am willing to relocate within the U.S.  I don't have a specific salary that is desired..I am willing to work my way up from the bottom.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!  Thank you!!

The Department of Public Safety system in Texas has no current vacancies. However, with the convening of our State Legislature in January 2009, we will be asking for 10 new Firearms Examiner positions and 8 new NIBIN Tech positions. These positions, if approved, will be posted starting in September 2009! Our system does accept untrained personnel. All new trainees will be hired for headquarters and specific field labs but will be required to train in our Headquarters Lab in Austin. Our training course is 18 months long and we currently have 8 trainees in varying stages of training in our Austin Lab.
