Display Graphics Needed
« on: September 29, 2004, 09:49:43 AM »
We have a new lab director who feels the display cases for tours are too old.  As such we (every section of the lab) have been instructed to create new display cases.

Our case is about 3 feet by 4 feet, so we have no shortage of space.  Does anyone have any "large" print quality graphics we can incorporate into our display?  Our working subjects are function testing, comparisons, distance determinations, and NIBIN.

FTI has already sent us some very nice files with images of RDAS units, so the NIBIN topic is covered.

Thank you in advance,

Erik Brown

time to update the cap and ball display, eh?

Does anyone have still shots from a high speed camera showing the bullet (and powder) leaving the barrel?  that would be impressive for tours.

Erik,

Here are a few high-speed stills we routinely use when discussing distance determinations.  I think they have been around, so they may look familiar to the viewing audience.  The images are a good print size, I've cropped them down quite a bit for the post.  If you are interested, I can e-mail you the original files.

Monturo...I'm still waiting for the pics of the French blank revolver cartridges you promised!
