Polygonal rifling/Desert Eagle

I'm looking for articles or any literature on polygonal rifling with specific emphasis on the Desert Eagle.  Any pointers?  I'm particularly interested in the ability or inability for bullets/shell casings to be identified as having been fired from this type of firearm.  Thank you in advance.
