Pay Rate:  $25.28 - $37.20 /hr

Location:  WAYNE (ALL) County, Northville, MI

Brief Description:  This position will function as the Firearms Unit Supervisor in the Northville Laboratory. Responsibilities include supervision, evidence analysis, research and training and attending court and crime scenes as necessary.  


Other Information:  Candidates will be required to submit to and pass an MSP background check, fingerprint check and drug screen.
Applicants will be screened for interviews based upon the following criteria:

-Bench experience relevant to the Firearms discipline
-Court testimony experience
-Experience working with members of the criminal justice community
-Management experience
-Crime scene response experience
-Familiarity with instrumentation
 

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in forensic science, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, or a related pure or applied science.  

Experience: Two years of experience equivalent to a Forensic Scientist 12 (five years of total experience)or a State Police Specialist (Sergeant) or State Police Sergeant 12 in the State Police Forensic Science Division.
