FORENSIC SCIENTIST INSTRUCTOR POSITION

The Department of Forensic Science at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applications for a 9-month, collateral (non-tenure track) position at the rank of Instructor.  The selected individual will teach three or four courses per semester, including a survey course for non-majors, a survey course for upper-level majors and additional courses contingent on Departmental needs and funding.  Candidates must have a minimum of an M.S. degree at time of hire, professional experience in a forensic laboratory, and present evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching. 

Virginia Commonwealth University seeks to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber.  The University has an enrollment of over 32,000 students, including nearly 9,000 ethnic minorities and over 400 undergraduate and graduate students in Forensic Science.  Virginia Commonwealth University’s Forensic Science B.S. and M.S. degree programs are fully accredited by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences’ (AAFS) Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC).  The Department is operated in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Forensic Science.
