Dinner Selection

Attention all AFTE 2016 attendees.  We need you to log into your AFTE 2016 registration (hopefully you remember your password) and make a selection (at the bottom of the "Personal Information" tab) for the banquet on Thursday night.  The dinner selections are as follows:

Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Au Gratin potatoes, Haricot Verts, Charred Peppers, Port Wine Reduction

Pecan Crusted Gulf Fish, Spicy Brussel Sprouts, Baby Sweet Peppers, Herb Quinoa Pilaf, Bourbon Buerre Blanc

Vegetarian Plate

Sorry,  I do not.  I'm guessing it will be based on what the chef has on hand that day.

Yes, the vegetarian option will be based on what is available that week.  They informed me this is typically what they do to ensure freshness.

Just sit next to a vegetarian and make sure they get steak, then trade them your vegetables for the steak!
 
Actually, on a serious note the fish was out of this world at the tasting!

Just sit next to a vegetarian and make sure they get steak, then trade them your vegetables for the steak!

I just saw one of those medical snippets on a television monitor while standing in line at my credit union.  In it, it claimed that those eating a high saturated fat diet, i.e. red meat had a 20% increase in the incurring heart related diseases while those on a low saturated fat diet, i.e. veggie eaters had a 30% increase risk of cancer.  The gist, eat burgers and die of a heart attack or eat stir-fry and get a tumor.  Now you have a life-style option to choose your demise. :-\
