The Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division has an opening for a Forensic Scientist Advanced in the Firearm and Toolmark Unit.
The main purpose of the position is for microscopic, chemical and functional examinations of firearms and firearms related evidence. NIBIN database entry and court testimony is required and the position also serves as the training coordinator for the unit. In addition, the position requires familiarity with new technologies that are being used in Firearms/Toolmark identification.
