Steyr M9 pistol LCI
« on: March 31, 2022, 06:42:42 PM »
The LCI is above the firing pin and the end protrudes from the back of the slide when a cartridge is chambered. The safety activates by pulling down on the tabs above the trigger guard which drops down a lever into the trigger guard. Overall it just has a strange look (in my opinion) as well.  :)

Two test-fires for NIBIN. The LCI aperture shear appeared on one of the test-fires.

Note also the two smaller impressions between the LCI mark at the rim of the case and the FPI.  In some cases they look like a line of crop circles and I've never been fully certain at what point they are being produced during the cycle of fire.

I noticed those marks as well. Very interesting.

Maybe the LCI pops back out as the primer pocket goes by to produce those marks?  :detective:
