Examiner needed in South Carolina
« on: June 16, 2023, 01:55:38 PM »

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) recently posted a position for a firearms examiner.  The salary range listed in the job posting is $50,500.00 – $59,079.00; however, this may be (key words) negotiable if the applicant is already trained.  The job posting closes on 6/24/23 at 11:59PM EST.
Within the last eight months, we completed our move into our new, state-of-the-art, approximately 117,000 sq ft full-service laboratory facility.  The SLED Forensic Services Laboratory is centrally located in Columbia, the state capital.  The world-famous beaches of South Carolina, the Appalachian Mountains, historic Charleston (the Holy City), Augusta, GA, and Charlotte, NC are all located within a short drive from Columbia. :-00

The cost of living is 5% below the national average.  There are plenty of affordable options to live in the area near the laboratory to include apartments, condominiums, neighborhoods, or living on your own land without a neighbor in sight.

If you like to golf, boat, hike, fish, hunt, watch college football, enjoy good food, watch tomorrow’s possible MLB stars play for the Columbia Fireflies, and many other things, this job may be the one for you.  For some of the many things to do in or around Columbia, visit this link https://discoversouthcarolina.com/columbia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the SLED Firearms Department at (803) 896-7399 or message me here.
