Interesting Firing Pin Aperture on Aftermarket slide
« on: January 06, 2025, 07:25:21 PM »
I wanted to share an interesting firing pin aperture that I have not seen before. This firing aperture is from a Strike Industries slide, and usually the teardrop shape tends to be smaller, but this firing pin aperture appears to have a bigger teardrop shape (avocado shape) than others, and it contains an elliptical firing pin where normally it would be a circular firing pin.

I agree with Jill about now jonesing for Guac & Chips

I'm heading to ShotShow in two weeks with a colleague- we will go by the Strike Industries booth and see what else we can learn about the avocado shape :) Thanks for sharing, Adam!

For a more international description, how about "pear shaped" instead?   ;)

Avocado is international, right?  ^-^
