Hi my name is Jennifer I'm trying to find help with some research that I'm doing for a friend. And I can't seem to get any responses from anyone and was hoping you could help me this is the information that I'm looking for

If a .38 Taurus revolver was fired within "8-10” of a wooden interior door with clear varnish finish would the shot have left evidence on the door? Would the fact that this happened in 1988 effect the evidence?  Would the evidence still be retrievable? If the door had been painted over would it still be retrievable? Would the evidence (mark) be visible through crime scene photos using computer enhancement? And approximately how much would the tests cost? And would you accept court appointments the trial court is in Halbrook Arizona?

Thanks for taking the time to read this I’m desperate in finding this information out and i keep hitting a dead end this is my last resort, thank you again...
