The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has opened its recruitment for two Firearms Examiners.  Due to a recent job reclassification we can now hire at two different experience levels:

Forensic Scientist I - Firearms and Toolmarks 
Salary: $54,916.00 - $81,286.00 annually

Forensic Scientist II - Firearms and Toolmarks 
Salary: $60,617.00 - $89,727.00 annually

Does the Las Vegas area, or other areas in Nevada, expect to have future openings?  I am sure I am way too late on this one since it was listed two months ago.  Just wondering.
