Training Opportunity in NH
« on: October 20, 2008, 04:39:25 PM »

The NEDIAI Conference is coming up December 8-10, 2008 in Portsmouth, NH.  During this conference one particular day may be of interest to area firearms examiners.

On Wednesday December 10th, there are two speakers that could provide an entire day's worth of training.  The day begins with a 2-hour talk on Large Scale Officer Involved Shootings presented by Donna Brandelli of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.  She will be detailing two different shooting incidents involving multiple law enforcement agencies.  This talk is scheduled from 0800-1000 hrs.

Then form 1030-1630 hrs., there is a Free hands-on Workshop on the topic of UV-IR Photography.  This no-additional-cost workshop will be presented by Jason Guffey of the American Academy of Applied Forensics in North Carolina.  He will be detailing the capabilities of UV-IR photography and the advancements of this technology over the past decade.  Those of us who do GSR testing on clothing and other such items would greatly benefit from this type of training.

The single-day rate for this conference is only $60.00 per person.

More information on this conference including the entire three-day schedule and registration forms can be found on the Conference Page at the NEDIAI website which is linked below.
