This conference showcases novel tools and technologies with current and future law enforcement and crime laboratory applications that improve how we keep our communities safe. In addition, it features forums for discussing the procedures, policies, and issues that arise when new technology is introduced in a community. Through panel discussions and exhibits, executives will have a chance to sample a wide variety of technologies and their associated issues, like community acceptance, return on investment, planning for deployment, and privacy. NIJ sponsors the Applied Technologies Conference in partnership with The Center for Rural Development and the National Forensic Science Technology Center.
 
This year, our exhibit hall will offer hands-on demonstrations of some of the latest technologies, such as:
Cyber crime investigation tools.
School safety tools and resources.
Low cost aviation assets.
Communications and information sharing tools
National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
Field Investigation Drug Officer (FIDO)
Plenary Concurrent Sessions

Who should attend

This conference is free and open to federal, state and local law Enforcement and public safety officials. This includes managers and supervisors in law enforcement, forensics, and corrections. The exhibit floor is reserved for government and government related displays.

Registration is free but space is limited.

Login or create a new account.
Select Register.
Enter the conference invitation code: ATC2009 (case sensitive).
Complete your registration.
You will receive an email confirmation once your registration has been completed.

The Applied Technologies Conference will be held at the Westin Crown Center Hotel, One East Pershing Road, Kansas City, Missouri. The prevailing government rate of $107 single occupancy and $128 double occupancy is being offered April 13-17, 2009.
