Certifications Required For Manufacturers

Hi, I was wondering what, if any requirements there are for manufacturing components used in firearms. Or, at least, where to find out would be a great start.

We are a contract manufacturer in Texas, and a potential customer has asked us to manufacture sites. We do not have any certifications for doing this and don't know if they are needed. The parts themselves are well within our capabilities and skill set, but I would like to confirm on certs or other gov't agency requirements that could get us in trouble if not handled first.
