What is the GSR composition of HP ammunition?
« on: December 09, 2009, 03:39:07 PM »
Hi,

Does anyone knows what is the GSR composition of 6.35 mm (25 Auto) HP ammunition?
Could one of the components be Tin (Sn)?
Thank you,
Lior

Another question: Could HP (Hirtenberger Patronen) ammunition have Czech primers? That would explain the Tin! :detective:

Hirtenberger is no longer producing ammunition below 40mm (since 2005).
Hirtenberger was also selling licence for production to smaller ammunition companies, so it is possible that smaller company bought components from Hirtenberger (powder, cases, bullets) but used different primers.
According to papers I have, Hirtenberger used same primer type (1206) and same powder (Vihtavuori N310) for .25ACP, .32Auto and .380Auto.

I hope this information will help.
