Forensic Scientist position, City of Oxnard CA

Criminalist
Close Date: Jan 12, 2012 Closing date extended: Jan 19, 2012Salary: $4,950.00 - $6,930.00 Monthly
Under general supervision, identifies and examines bullets, bullet fragments, cartridges and firearms used in crimes. Criminalists are responsible for ensuring the integrity of evidence by using established handling protocols. Depending upon assignment may be required to wear a uniform. Normal working periods are 10-hour days, 4 days a week with rotational “on-call.”

As part of the testing process and prior to appointment to a position, City of Oxnard Police Department candidates will be required to undergo a polygraph examination and a thorough background investigation.
