Headstamp Submissions / Barnaul and MFS Joint Headstamp
« Last post by Pete M on October 03, 2024, 10:40:32 AM »
Hi, I don't think this headstamp has appeared in the HSG yet, so forwarded for inclusion if wished. It is on a .223" Remington Silver Bear brand (zinc plated steel case). It is unusual in that it has both the cyrillic letters in logo format that translate to BPZ for Barnaul Cartridge Plant, Russia, and MFS for Magyar Loszergyarto Kft, Matravideki Femmuvek, Sirok, Hungary. The cartridges were completely manufactured by Barnaul in Russia, however MFS was used for the marketing aspect to facilitate commercial sales to western countries, due to their inclusion in the RUAG Ammotec Group (although RUAG Ammotec has since been sold to Beretta Holdings in 2022), Pete.
