WHY:  This conference is being held to provide an opportunity for both trainees and experienced firearms examiners to present case studies, research, etc. at a regional forensic conference, as exchanging information and collaboration are vital aspects of our Firearms community.  The Host Committee is encouraging potential attendees to submit abstracts to present at the conference.  Approximately 15 presentation slots are available (depending on presentation lengths).

DETAILS:  The tentative agenda (subject to change) includes a full-day session of scheduled presentations followed by a half-day session for a round table discussion of numerous topics affecting the Firearms and Toolmark community.  More information will be provided soon.

Note that conference space limits attendance to approximately 65, so get your registration in ASAP (due by September 23).

Also, see attachment for additional details on the registration and location.

Please forward this announcement to anyone who you think would be interested in attending.

I would say BWI is the closest and easiest.  National is not much farther, it is just south of us.  Dullas is a hike and you will hit lots of traffic.

Hope this helps.  Kristin
