We have a Firearm & Toolmark position (and a DNA position) available in Memphis, TN. 

A new state-of-the-art lab is being built in Jackson, TN (about 1 hr east of Memphis) and we are projected to move there in 2021.

We are commissioned agents and work violent crime scenes and officer involved/use of force scenes. We encourage our examiners to become Bureau armorers (Glock and AR-platform) and firearms instructors. We have a NIBIN system, but are more of a court-driven Firearms Unit. In addition to firearms cases, we get distance cases, toolmark cases, serial number cases, and we work vehicles for recovery of evidence and/or trajectory analysis. We have 8 Forensic Scientists in Nashville and 3 in Memphis.
