Request for Participation in PMF/3D Printing Research to Assist Government

Hello AFTE members,

Dr. Garth Davies, associate professor of Criminology at Simon Fraser University (SFU), and Dr. Krysta Dawson, a Strategic Research Analyst, are looking for PMF/3D printing SMEs within the forensic firearms discipline to assist with an important research project focused on privately manufactured firearms (PMFs). The purpose of this research is to address crucial gaps in the understanding of PMFs, including 3D printed firearms. The goal will be to highlight the specific nature of the threat posed by PMFs, and to provide guidance to policy makers on how best to address this serious and growing challenge.
