As it is now only 5 days away from the conference, I figured most of you are beginning to think about what to pack.  I thought I would help you out, so you do not come unprepared.

I have attached a document that outlines what weather to expect and in what months to expect it.  I can tell you that May is one of the best times in the city.  The days are a bit warmer and the evenings are cool.  The fog typically is not as prominent making it more warm in the daytime and evening. Also, the days are typically very sunny with blue skies.

However, do not be fooled.  I would strongly encourage all of you to bring a jacket or long sleeve shirts or sweatshirts.  It will be cool in the evenings and shorts and a t-shirt will not make for an enjoyable evening as you are shivering trying to take in the sights.

I can't wait to see you all in our beautiful city, but want to make sure you all have the most enjoyable time possible.  PLEASE READ THE DOCUMENT I HAVE ATTACHED!

Thanks,

Andy

Glen,

You'll need to make sure to pack your mullet wig though to keep your head warm on the cold SF nights. ;D

From 45 years experience in the San Francisco Bay Area the temperature is likely to run between 55 degrees on the low side to 80 degrees on the high side.  So much for packing light.

My sister just recently moved from the heart of San Fran to Houston.  She was ALWAYS cold and now she is always hot!!  Ladies, pack sweaters and dress in layers - per my formerly San Francisco sister.

Looking forward to a outstanding meeting if the predetails are any predication of what is to come.  Thanks Andy and the AFTE 2007 Committee!!
